The Corilab Men’s Urological Check-up combines a selection of microbiological tests performed using a urethral swab. These tests are used to detect selected microorganisms that may be associated with urethral or urogenital infections. The check-up may be considered when symptoms are present or, in selected cases, in men without symptoms when clinically indicated.
Symptoms such as burning when urinating, increased urinary frequency, pelvic pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse may have infectious or non-infectious causes and should be assessed by a healthcare professional, particularly if they persist or recur.
A urethral swab is a microbiological test used to detect selected microorganisms in the urethra. The results should be interpreted in the context of the individual’s symptoms, medical history and circumstances and, where appropriate, discussed with their doctor or specialist.
